Shoots BTS

Last Thursday and I scheduled to shoot out Howl's Moving Castle cosplays which we wore to Manifest~ and of course, on that morning, it started pouring with rain and didn't stop 8'D But we kept shooting anyway! Thanks to managing to work in stupid conditions and the wonderful help of who was kind enough to come along, we managed to get some lovely shots still! We will probably reshoot later in the year, as well as doing their different outfit/hair versions *A* Anyone got a vast meadow of flowers with a little house + waterwheel? HAHA didn't think so 8'D

Despite the raining killing my ghibli dreams, it was still super fun!


Then on Friday I did the first of what will be many Uta no Prince-sama shoots! I just simply adore Natsuki and Shou...like...so much *A* teehee~ First shoot was just solo though, so Natsuki/Satsuki Gemini Syndrome go! Kinda lacking a thunderstorm and a stage to hijack though LOL XD

Trying to do the music falling shots was so painful...my knees got ground to dust, while 's arms fell off from having to throw and pick up the sheets so many times OTL D8 Poor trying to take photos ;A;  Still it was worth it in the end!!

I bought a box of broken mirror fragments from a junk shop ages ago, thinking there must be a cosplay I could use them for - and I was right! OHOHO~ Got some really cool shots with these~ but pro-tip kids, check very carefully what is relfected in the mirror you are holding LMAOOO... was in a whole bunch of these HAHA 8'D

1. I'm originally British, born in Hong Kong~

9. I have a crazy number of scarves and waistcoats. I think I caught the scarf thing off my mum lol, and waistcoats are just <3
10. I can't stand going on public transport etc without music, but I have to have complete silence at my desk when I'm studying. Contradictions trala~

Will always keep going back to Japan~ I would really love to do a tour of ancient ruins around North Africa and the Midle East *A* I've only been to Morocco and Dubai in those areas
6. If you were a king or a queen, what would be the first thing you would do?
I'm assuming you mean a king or queen in some form of absolute monarchy, where I could actually do whatever I wanted, without parliamentary approval XD; If that is the case then I would immediately change Australia's asylum seeker policies, and legalise gay marriage. Sorry for a boring political answer LOL.
7. The last thing that you ate was...?
A couple of strawberries.
8. Worst nightmare?
I don't really know...I had this horrible recurring dream for a while about coming home to find someone had broken into my house and murdered my family ;A;

I have a PC...I'm not really big on tech stuff so I can't give a proper answer as to why, I just don't like the way that programs you open and close on Macs do that swoopy thing...

FAQs

I seem to always get asked the same questions by soooo many people...so I am posting this so that hopefully these ones at least will stop appearing on my page/in my notes lol ^_^

1. Are you a girl or a boy?
It says female on my profile lol...I'm a girl...if I don't have boobs in a picture it's because I bind? 'orz

2. Will you be at *insert name of US con here*
No...because I'm Australian! It's a long way to the US, and very expensive lol.

3. Are you half Asian?
No...I'm not sure how people could think this, but I get asked it a lot...no, I'm not, although I'm rather flattered that people could think so! XD;

4. Do you make or buy your costumes?
I generally make all my costumes ^_^ Unless it's, you know, a white shirt and jeans, then it seems kind of a waste of time. I always write in the artist comments "costume by me" if I made it.

5. What makeup do you use?
I don't have just one brand I use~ people ask most about my eyeliner, which is MAC gel liner ^^

6. How did you make x costume?
I never know how to answer this question...I...made a pattern, cut out pieces of fabric, sewed them together and added detail? I don't know what else to say, sorry 8'D

7. Are you a model?
UHH...NO. lol. I really am not the right size/shape to be a model haha 8'D

8. How do you bind like that?
For most cosplays I use a compression binding shirt - you can buy them online. I have 3 different ones~ For open shirt male cosplays I bind using sports strapping tape, pulling outwards.

9. What type of contacts are those?
I use a range of contacts brands, but my favourites at the moment are Geo Nudy Super Size, and EOS Adult King Size ^^

10. Where did you get x wig?
I used to buy all my wigs on ebay~ there are heaps of stores, just make sure you buy the nice quality kanekalon ones. Now I buy them all on taobao, through an agent. It's about 1/3 the cost 8D

11. Are you blonde naturally?
LOL no...I have dark brown hair and eyes ^_^; I'm quite impressed so many people seem to think blonde is my natural hair colour? 8D /coses all the blonde charas forever/ XD

12. You should cos *insert chara name here*
I only cosplay character I know, and like and (mostly XD) suit...so I don't take suggestions. I'm also not particularly fussed about whether a series is popular or not in deciding to cos it, and I make no apologies for doing really random shoots that no-one has heard of 8D

13. I would love to see more photos! Only a couple are uploaded on dA

Bris Animania

Wasn't going to go because my free entry ran out, and there's really nothing worth paying for at this event lol...but my Shou-chan went through a lot of hassle to change work shifts so she could go, so I am going! Shall be cosing Shinomiya Natsuki from UtaPri (summer uniform) with as Shou-chan *u*

So apparently, I am now running a panel at Animania on Saturday! If you're going to be there, come along and watch!
