I LOVE THIS ARC *____* SO MUCH Everything in the interaction between these two by this stage in the story is so much calmer and while still bittersweet, they've reached a level of trust and understanding which never existed before.
We had so many damn photos taken of this pose, trying to get the reflection right - I really love *Tsubaki-chan's capture!
If anyone is wondering, yes, Kuro-sama is supposed to be missing an arm! Sorry for spoilers (?) but people definitely should have read that by now, lol, it was years ago XD
Epic height difference FTW hurr~ I look so girly =___= my sleeves and kimono got muddy footprints on them OTL because I kept tripping myself 8'D I also lost a lot of skin off my back from tape binding for this shoot...which wasn't even necessary!! >_< fml.
Yes, it's a women's kimono. Ask CLAMP, not me.
Enormous thanks to *K-chan009 for being the smexiest Kuro-sama in the galaxy! It seriously made dreams come true to be able to do these shoots with you~ that makes me sound so lame 'orz 8''D
I just love the mood of closeness (for once!) for the two of them. There's even subtle romantic tones, but that doesn't dominate the overall scene. For some reason I find it really endearing how Fai is holding onto Kurogane's left sleeve...perhaps it's because the missing arm reflects Kurogane's devotion for Fai and how far they have come together.
The beautiful scenery definitely adds a wonderful effect to the two's private moment. That pond is so clear and smooth and I love how it shows their reflection. I really like the angle of the photo, too.
Thank you very much for your lovely comment! Nihon arc seems to me to be the point in the story at which Kurogane and Fay /finally/ truly understand and trust one another~ and it was this moment of peace and acceptance we wanted to capture ^_^
Beautiful photo, beautiful shoot, beautiful cosplayers... it's all beautiful!
